Custom Vinyl Toy with Rose Chang & Stephanie Drabik of Crywolf
Saturday, March 30, 9am to 11am
Bü is Crywolf's very own collectible vinyl toy. It is a vinyl do-it-yourself art toy/object that can be modified in various ways with different mediums to become virtually anything the creator wishes. The shape of Bü a simple one that can stand alone, as is, or inspire people to create. You will be supplied with one Bü and can choose from 3 colours: cloud (white), storm (grey) and ocean (aqua). Stephanie Drabik and Rose Chang of Crywolf will be leading a two hour workshop to design and create your very own customized hand-painted Bü using paint and other materials. Crywolf will be there to share inspiration on character creation, while offering instruction, assistance and feedback.
In this session, student will receive:
- Two hour instructions with Stephanie Drabik and Rose Chang
- All studio materials to complete the project
- A light breakfast and a reusable shopping bag
- Bonus: A coupon to use at Crywolf's booth for a discount on Bu. Each attendee will also receive a complimentary 3 layer silkscreened Bu poster as a souvenir
- Attendees are also encouraged to bring their own embellishments to fully customize their Bu!
Bio: Stephanie Drabik and Rose Chang are the duo also known as Crywolf. They met in high school and dipped their paws into printmaking waters at their respective art universities. They began silkscreening t-shirts around 2005 when they founded their first company, p0isson and by 2008 Crywolf was born. While their focus has always been their custom designed, hand printed clothing line, Crywolf also have a world of quirky and cute characters on everything from jewelry, silkscreened posters, plushies, to their own vinyl toy.

Origami Lotus Flower Paper Lantern with Robert Wu of Studio Robert Wu
Sunday, March 31, 9am to 11am
In this workshop, Toronto paper artist Robert Wu will show participants how to make two beautiful Lotus flower origami projects incorporating with his own hand marbled paper. The folding technique is simple and easy to make with stunning result. By the end of workshop, each participant will take home a gorgeous Origami Lotus Paper tealight Lantern and a hanging ornament. All materials will be provided.
In this session, student will receive:
- Two hour instructions with Robert Wu
- All studio materials to complete the project
- A light breakfast and a reusable shopping bag
Bio: Robert Wu is a Toronto book artist specializing in traditional design fine bindings and marbling art. Robert has a master’s degree in Architecture from the University of Toronto. Robert always has a strong passion in paper related crafts. He also loves to make traditional collector’s teddy bears and Chinese knotting or macramé. Collections of his book works and marbling art can be found in collections worldwide including notable institutions such as Royal Ontario Museum, Fisher Rare Books U of T, Harvard University, and TPL (Osbourne Children’s Library & Toronto Reference Library).

All workshops take place in the Workshop Room on the 2nd floor (next to the One of a Kind Show Office).
