Currently pursuing her MFA at the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington, ceramic artist Alwyn O’Brien (Salt Spring Island, BC) was the first recipient of the One of a Kind Show/Gardiner Museum Emerging Artist Award in 2007. Mini Bio Celebrating over 30 years of Business! Mike and Connie Leishman established their pottery business in Cobalt in 1975. In 1979 they settled in the Stayner Schoolhouse. 33 Years later, it is the home of several distinct lines of pottery and multitued of dear customers, friends and collectors.
