Our Health & Safety Protocols

Updated: March 15, 2022

Since the start of the pandemic, One Of A Kind has been closely following the advice of public health authorities. As an event, we will continue to abide to the latest guidance from local authorities, while making every effort to ensure your time at One Of A Kind is enjoyable, fun, and, above all, safe.

On March 9, 2022, The Government of Ontario outlined its plan for “Living with and managing COVID‑19” which includes the lifting of most mask mandates as of March 21.

What this means for the 2022 One Of A Kind Spring Show

Taking place March 30 to April 3—One Of A Kind will no longer require proof of vaccination to enter our event venue, Enercare Centre, Exhibition Place. As well, mask wearing will be voluntary but recommended. Customers are encouraged to take precautions based on their individual risk assessment and comfort level. We will also be lifting the use of timed tickets, and visitors will be allowed to attend anytime during show dates and hours. This applies to all tickets, including newly and previously purchased admission to #OOAK22.

IMPORTANT: Please note all restrictions and requirements are subject to change at any time in accordance with government guidelines and legal allowances. These may include, without limitation, changes to capacity, attendance procedures, and entry requirements, such as wearing masks, proof of vaccination and/or negative COVID-19 test, daily screening, contact tracing and any other protective measures. If any visitor, exhibitor, partner, sponsor, or staff do not comply with any laws, mandates, health orders/directives, and/or event code of conduct, show management may refuse admission to the event or require individual to leave the venue and with no refunds of entrance fees, booth fees, membership fees, parking fees, rental fees, or any other expenses/payments.

The following Health and Safety Guidelines and Best Practices will continue to be in place at the 2022 One Of A Kind Spring Show:

Face Coverings: In line with the latest provincial guidance, mask wearing will not be required but recommended. We encourage everyone to take precautions based on their individual risk assessment and comfort level.

Contactless Ticketing: All tickets will be provided digitally. No tickets will be sold at the door, and we encourage everyone to pre-purchase tickets at oneofakindshow.com prior to attending the event. Upon entry, simply present your tickets on your mobile device. Alternatively, you may print out your digital ticket and present this at the door for scanning. Exhibitors will have access to a digital portal to assign digital e-tickets to their customers. There will be NO re-admission or re-entry passes at this year’s event. We also will not have printed show guides at the Show.

Timed Entry has been lifted. All tickets to the Spring Show will be valid on any one day of the Show. All ticket holders, including those with newly and previously purchased admission to the 2022 Spring Show will be able to attend the show any time during show dates and hours.

Self Assessment of Symptoms: If you are not feeling well and are experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms, please stay home.

Enhanced Sanitization: One Of A Kind will undertake enhanced, deep cleaning before, during and after our events, working with venue partners to ensure the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness. This includes continuous sanitization throughout the course of the event, with a focus on high-touch areas such as door handles, restrooms and food and beverage areas. We will also provide additional hand sanitizing stations throughout the event space encouraging all participants to practice good hand hygiene. In addition to this, our venue Enercare Centre was the first building in Canada to achieve the world standard GBAC STAR™ Facility Accreditation in 2020 from the Global Biorisk Advisory Council for infection control, sanitation, and virus mitigation.

Building Ventilation: Dedicated Enercare Centre building operations staff will continually monitor air flow, building temperature, humidity levels and proper filtration is being provided in the exhibit hall and public spaces.

Flavours Sampling: We have been planning the spring show since the new year, which at the time had stricter restrictions regarding health and safety measures. This resulted in us having to make some decisions so our vendors could plan their exhibitions accordingly. For this reason, there will be no food and beverage sampling at the Flavours’ section at this year’s event. All items sold at the Flavours’ section will be packaged for home consumption.

Special Programming and Section: We have been planning the spring show since the new year, which at the time had stricter restrictions regarding health and safety measures. This resulted in us having to make some decisions about our special programming and show services. For this reason, late-night shopping will be paused this year. We will also not be hosting any programming like fashion shows, or main stage seminars at our event this year. The Marketplace section will also be paused for 2022.
