Jigsaw Puppets
Jen Bulthuis is utilizing her training as both an artist and educator by creating wooden ‘jigsaw puppets’ for children. Made from silk-screened Baltic birch cut-outs, her puzzles can be unassembled to become individual characters and props. Bulthuis explains, by “using the element of story-telling in my work, I affirm and engage kids in the act of story-telling, so that they can use these toys to learn classic fairytale and myth, but even more so that they begin to tell their own stories.” Jigsaw puppet sets from $85 - $100.

Scrabble cufflinks
Natalie’s degree in architecture brings an element of strength and sophistication to her jewellery forms. “I see jewellery as equilibrium between form and function, just as architecture. I believe that the sculptural aspect of form, and the utility of function can integrate to product a clearly thought out, cleverly designed, well crafted piece of art.” Custom cufflinks (like those shown here) range between $200 - $400.
