Hi! I’m Nancy, the maker behind Freon Collective. I make eco-friendly lifestyle products such as toiletry bags, tea towels, and more. I’ve been a part of the OOAK community since 2016, and as a past Best Booth winner, I’m looking forward to sharing my expertise on booth design and layout, booth building, lighting, and using visual merchandising to attract shoppers to your booth. One tip I can share is to make your products easy for shoppers to see and interact with and using booth space/height to create a dynamic shopping experience. I’ve found that an eye-catching booth keeps shoppers interested longer, giving them time to interact with my products and learn more about my brand. I can’t wait to share my tips to help you level up your booth!

Hi! I'm Madison, the founder of Flirty Pineapple. We make hair accessories that actually hold your hair! This is our fifth One Of A Kind show, and I'm excited to share how using social media strategically has led to an increase in sales at the show. My biggest piece of advice: it's not just about posting before the show, it's what you post and where. Posting the right content in the weeks before the show is the difference between people walking past your booth and people arriving already looking for you by name.

My name is Julien Blanchard, founder of GROOM men’s care in Montréal.

I have exhibited at OOAK for 10 years and it has been a journey full of surprises! It means that I had to devote considerable attention to analyzing sales figures and profitability, both during and after the shows.

There are so many things that require attention during an artisan’s work day. At the end of it, you have to make sure that your efforts are serving the overarching goals, which is likely to have a healthy, financially stable operation. I will be happy to share some insights and tools so that you feel comfortable looking at your business numbers.

For more than 40 years at the One Of A Kind Show, we’ve built Lobel Creations by creating relationships with our customers, many of whom have become loyal clients and friends. We are jewelry artisans specializing in Ammolite jewelry, and our expertise is building a real fan club. We stay connected with our customers, communicate with them regularly, and give them a reason to come back and see what we’re creating. We’ll share what has worked for us over the years. Our advice is simple: get to know your customers, get their email, stay in touch, and make them feel special. Loyalty comes from relationships, not just sales.

Hi! I’m Kate Brown, an artist who has been exhibiting at One Of A Kind since 2023. What started as a place to sell my work has become a reunion with makers and artists I’ve met from across the country. I’ll be sharing info on Show Etiquette & Best Practices, with a focus on community and being a great neighbour. My biggest advice is simple: step outside of your booth! Make connections, be aware of how you affect the people around you, and lend a hand when you can. I’m here to answer questions and connect, so please reach out!

Hey! My name is Carissa, the maker behind Copious Fashions, where each piece is upcycled using existing materials creating fresh & new one-of-a-kind designs. I’ll be sharing my top inventory tips to make sure you feel prepared and ready to take on OOAK. My biggest piece of advice is to plan, figure out your numbers and then execute your design process. If you don’t know how many you need, don’t worry I will help with that! Even if you have never done a major tradeshow, I have an easy equation to help you figure out how much inventory to make.
