Staying Within the Borders of Your Booth, Booth Regulations
It is important that you do not extend your display into your neighbour’s space or the aisles. If you exceed your booth size, you will be asked to change your display so that it fits within the proper dimensions, or you will be invoiced for the extra space. Also, chairs must be placed INSIDE your booth or you will be asked to remove them.New clause this year to give some clarity for your booth planning: "No display may be arranged so that an exhibitor must stand in the aisle to conduct business."
The 4 Pillars of a Successful Booth, Booth Design
1. LightingAt the show, overhead lighting is dimmed to create a warm, inviting atmosphere - so your booth lighting is essential (and mandatory). The right lighting highlights your work, enhances colour, and helps draw visitors in.Plan for lighting early by ordering electrical through the venue and considering outlet placement for easy access to switches. Build a lighting plan that supports how customers experience your space, aiming for roughly 1 light per foot of booth wall as a general guide.Lighting is available for rent (including clip-ons and overhead fixtures), or you can bring your own. LED or Source 4 Par ceiling-mounted fixtures (starting from $325) and wall-washing arm lights (starting from $209) can each cover about a 10’x10’ area. Arm lights must be secured to a solid back wall and placed every 4’-5’.Simple and affordable additions like string or fairy lights add ambience, while clip-on or LED lamps provide focused lighting. Consider the mood of your lighting - do you want a crisp white, warm yellow or light wash? For practical inspiration, check exhibitor discussions in the Facebook group and review SHOWTECH lighting examples to see real booth setups.
Children on the Show Floor, Exhibitor Services
During move-in and move-out the Show floor can be a very dangerous area with vehicles, cherry pickers, and fork lifts moving through the aisles, and nails and other debris left in the aisles. According to the Occupational Health and Safety Act, absolutely no children aged 15 or under are allowed onto the show floor during these times. We do not have complimentary childcare onsite during move-in & move-out. Exhibitors must make arrangements for their children to be cared for either in the galleria or offsite.

Upholstered & Stuffed Product, Selling Guidelines
If you are a vendor of upholstered and stuffed articles (pillows and stuffed toys etc.) certain government regulations apply to you.As of July 1, 2019, the Government of Ontario approved the revocation of the Upholstered and Stuffed Articles regulation under the Technical Standards and Safety Act, 2000. This means that The Upholstered and Stuffed Articles Program for Home Hobby/Craft Operators application no longer exists. However, upholstered and stuffed articles sold in Ontario continue to be subject to applicable federal legislation including the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act and the Textile Labelling Act. Gift Basket and Bundled Product Policy, Selling Guidelines
We would like to remind exhibitors at the One Of A Kind Show that the main focus of the show is to showcase the exhibitors and their work. We believe gift baskets make excellent gift ideas; however, at the show, we want the gift baskets to feature exhibitor product. For this reason, we have compiled a list of requirements for any exhibitor who would like to sell gift baskets at the show. The container can be any material, however we would prefer that you support the fellow artisans and use product from other exhibitors in the show. One additional item may be included in the gift basket that is not your product. This item must be supplied from an exhibitor at the show, if available. For example, if you would like to include a ceramic dish, it must be from an exhibitor at the show.Where an item provides value or is necessary to the use of your product and cannot be procured from an exhibitor of the One Of A Kind Show, you may include the artisanal product even if that artisan is not in the show. This should be limited to 1 in quantity and should add value for the purchaser or be required for the use of your product. This additional product should only be sold within your gift basket and not on its own.Any other included item/tool/accessory which is not artisanal in origin is limited to 1 in quantity. It must be instrumental to the use of the product. This item/tool/accessory cannot be sold on its own. The intention is this item/tool/ accessory be included to add value for the purchaser or is required for the use of your product. The value of this accessory should not be higher than that of the object of the artisanal product(s) in the gift basket. If you are a part of the Flavours category and you would like to include other food products in your gift basket, they must be from another exhibitor at the show, whenever available. If not possible to procure those items from an exhibitor at the show you may include one additional artisanal product provided the item is limited to 1 in quantity and its value does not exceed the value of your product(s).All bundled products/gift baskets need to be submitted for approval via the New Products Submission form by the September 25, 2026 Deadline. Samples are Submit your Gift Baskets by the deadline to be considered for inclusion in the upcoming show. Please be aware our team may be positioning gift baskets as an option to our corporate contacts for seasonal giving. Updates and details to be provided once confirmed.
